Will I ever get these travel plans pinned down? And will I ever get all of the white fur off of my black sweater?
4/20/16 - 4/22/16
With a stint as a guest scholar at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China, and a lecture at the 10th International Symposium on Library Services for Children and Young Adults in Seoul, South Korea, set for this summer, I'm spending much of April working out my trip details. I plan to be in Guangzhou lecturing at the university from June 4 - 18 with short trips to nearby Hong Kong and Macau during that time. Then I'll head off on my own to explore China (Beijing, Xi'an, and Shanghai) from June 18 - 27. Next I'll fly to Seoul on the 27th, where my kids will meet me for a week of touring South Korea. Then we're off to Japan for a week of touring Tokyo and Kyoto and places in between. I'm terribly excited about the trip, although planning it is proving to be quite a lot of work. Thank goodness for my trusty, furry travel planning assistant....
